Turck PT2000 Pressure Transmitters for Hydraulic Systems

Image
Turck has expanded its line of PT2000 pressure transmitters with the release of a variant for use in hydraulic systems.  With a list of features that includes an SAE fitting, stainless cell, gel filled housing, and an integrated snubber to reduce the damaging effects of pressure spikes, these transmitters provide an ideal solution for demanding hydraulic applications. The SAE #4 and SAE #6 process connections are particularly important, as they are commonly used for hydraulic equipment in North America. The new transmitters, which offer a welded stainless steel measuring cell for increased durability and increased chemical compatibility, have no elastomer seals and all wetted materials are 316L stainless steel. Additionally, the housing is more compact than existing solutions, suiting it for applications with space constraints. The transmitters are available in multiple pre-scaled pressure ranges from 30 to 14,500 psig.   The new variant also offers multiple output signals, allowing th

Leuze Electronic Long Distance Actuator ST Series Safety Switches

Image
Leuze Electronic goes the distance with their long distance actuator for the ST series safety switches! A new actuator to be combined with the ST series safety sensors equipped with RFID technology is now available.  Compared to the standard version, with an activation distance of 12 mm, the new actuator has an activation distance of 18 mm. Leuze Electronic is one the first manufacturers to offer this type of actuator, which is ideal when a precise distance between the sensor and actuator cannot be guaranteed.  The ST series features an electronic system based on RFID technology to detect the actuator. This system gives a different coding to each actuator and makes it impossible to tamper with a device by using another actuator belonging to the same series. The actuators may have millions of different coding combinations, and are therefore classified as actuators with a high coding level, according to EN ISO 14119 . The new SM actuator has fixing holes with a center-to-center distance

Honeywell Transportation Attitude Reference Sensor, TARS series

Image
Honeywell Sensing and Controls' Transportation Attitude Reference Sensor or TARS-IMU is a packaged sensor array designed to report vehicle angular rate, acceleration, and inclination for demanding applications in industries such as heavy duty, off-highway transportation.  TARS-IMU enables autonomous vehicle characteristics and enhances efficiency and productivity by reporting key data required to automate and monitor movements of vehicle systems and components. The sensor fusion algorithm can be customized for specific vehicle applications through on-board firmware, allowing movement data to be filtered for extraneous environment and vehicle movements.  With two sensor models for different power levels, TARS-IMU accommodates both 5 V and 9 V to 36 V vehicle power systems, while communication is carried to the vehicle through industry standard CAN J1939 connectivity. As a standard, TARS-IMU is calibrated on aerospace-grade rate tables at the factory to provide calibration consistenc

Honeywell MicroPressure Board Mount Pressure Sensor, MPR Series

Image
Honeywell Sensing and Control's MPR Series is a very small piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor offering a digital output for reading pressure over the specified full scale pressure span and temperature range. It is calibrated and compensated over a specific temperature range for sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature effects, and non-linearity using an on-board Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). This product is designed to meet the requirements of higher volume medical (consumer and nonconsumer) devices and commercial appliance applications.   VALUES   Very small form factor: Enables portability by addressing weight, size, and space restrictions; occupies less area on the PCB.  Wide pressure ranges simplify use.  Enhances performance: Output accelerates performance through reduced conversion requirements and direct interface to microprocessors.  Value solution: Cost-effective, higher volume solution with configurable options.  Meets IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020D.1 Moisture
